Warranty policy

One Year Limited Warranty

All the Forensics Detectors gas meters, gas detectors and gas analyzers are covered by a one year limited warranty. During the warranty period, products are eligible for warranty repair. If the product cannot be repaired it will be replacement. Any warranty repair needs to be requested and authorized by our Support Center. Customers must pay the shipping fees for returning the item accordingly, while we will cover the shipping fees to send the repaired item back to the customer. If the customer has damaged/misused the item(s), it will not be eligible for warranty repair, however customers can return it at their own cost and pay a fee for the repair. Products not eligible for warranty repair will have a repair estimate provided prior to any repair work being completed.

Forensics Detectors will provide customers with helpful and knowledgeable technical support for the lifetime of your products.

Warranty Exemptions

  • All returns will be inspected by our technical team. If the returned item cannot be repaired, an alternative solution will be offered.
  • Natural product degradation through wear and tear, along with breakage/damage during use, is solely the customer's responsibility and is not covered by our warranties.
  • The product's warranty is immediately rendered void if damaged due to misuse and abuse, improper maintenance or accident. No compensation is available in such cases. However, customers are welcome to contact us to purchase a replacement or spare parts (if applicable).
    • “Misuse” includes but is not limited to operation beyond the use conditions listed in the product manual.
    • “Improper maintenance” includes but is not limited to failure to follow the recommendations contained in the Forensics Detectors product User Manuals including necessary calibration. The Customer is responsible for reading the user manual and correctly using and installing the product(s). If the Product is damaged by improper use or installation, the product is not eligible for warranty return or exchange. In this case, the product may be repaired at the customers expense.
  • The customer voids the product warranty if they:
    • Tampering with the product.
    • Modify, remove, customize, or swap parts of the product.
    • Use the device in a way that it is not originally intended for.
    • Continue to use the item once a fault occurs and causes more damage.
  • All returns must first be authorized by our Support Team prior to return.
  • AimSafety reserves the right to refuse any compensation for any of these reasons:
    • Incomplete warranty requests.
    • If the Product is tested and is found in working condition.
    • If the customer has returned the package without prior authorization.
    • If the customer returns an incorrect item.
    • If the customer submits an empty package.
    • If the product is not received by out team.
  • This warranty does not apply to spare parts, accessory parts, replacement parts, bump gas, or calibration gas.

    Warranty Request

    To begin a warranty request, email Dr. Koz at drkoz@forensicsdetectors.com. Include the following:

    Model #:
    Serial #:
    Order #:
    Describe the problem #:
    Describe use environment #:
    What was gas sample temperature and humidity #:
    Purchase Date #:

    Once the warranty request has been emailed, a return email will be sent back to you within 24 hours with next steps instructions. From our experience many problems or issues can be solved, but is certain circumstances, the device must be sent back to our laboratory for a diagnostic analysis to better determine the issue.

    Shipping Responsibilities

    Customers must pay the shipping fees for returning the item to us under a warranty claim, repair, general return or any other situation.

    Forensics Detectors will cover the shipping fees to send the repaired item back to the customer. 

    During a warranty claim, Forensics Detectors will ship the product back to you in the USA or  Canada. If overseas, you will need to purchase shipping. In addition, the customer is responsible for any and all customs charges, duties or tariffs during the items return to our warehouse.

    If the customer wants to utilize a faster shipping method, the relevant shipping fee is applicable as show in our Shipping policy.

    In case of any misuse, any and all repairs, accessories and shipping fees, both ways, are fully the customer’s responsibility and are at their own expense.
