Description
These are generic H2S sensors used as the pin-to-pin replacement of the standard 4-series electrochemical sensors. It is used throughout many gas detector brands and is an excellent H2S gas sensor replacement element. The hydrogen sulfide gas sensor operates as a constant-potential electrolytic sensor. When hydrogen sulfide and oxygen are present, they undergo complementary redox reactions at the working and counter electrodes, releasing charges that generate a current. Since this current is directly proportional to the hydrogen sulfide concentration, measuring the current allows for precise determination of hydrogen sulfide levels.
The H2S sensor excels in hydrogen sulfide detection across multiple settings, including industrial sites, mines, atmospheric environments, and alarm systems. Its outstanding features include high precision, longevity, rapid response and recovery times, energy efficiency, and exceptional sensitivity. The sensor boasts a wide linear range, strong resistance to interference, and remarkable repeatability and stability, making it an ideal solution for reliable hydrogen sulfide monitoring.
Instructions
- Once replaced and installed in your gas detector or analyzer, please let it sit for 24 hours so the sensor can stabilize to your environment. This step is very important.
- Then undertake the appropriate zero and calibration for your specific gas detector. See your gas detector manufacturer's specific instructions.
- Once calibrated, your gas analyzer will be ready for use.
